Topolino dei Denti

Topolino

In Rome, the Fatina dei Denti does not work alone. Tonight she sends Topolino — her tiny mouse assistant in a velvet vest — to a child's bedroom in Trastevere. He scurries up the table leg, pockets the tooth, and leaves a bright euro behind. Somewhere over Veneto, Saint Apollonia herself rides a chariot pulled by mice. The Italians, for the record, take their tooth fairies very seriously.
