The rules

Terms, in plain language.

Last updated July 11, 2026 · These are deliberately written in plain English. By using toothfairy.network you agree to them.

Who can use this

You must be an adult — a parent or guardian. Kids enjoy the stories and the ritual; adults create capsules, connect wallets, and make every decision involving money.

Your content

The artwork, stories, and notes you upload stay yours. You confirm you have the right to upload them (they're your family's creations). Capsules are private by default; we feature a capsule in the public gallery only with the guardian's permission, and we'll remove yours from it any time you ask.

The savings part — read this one carefully

  • Non-custodial. SOL you seal is held by a program (smart contract) on the Solana blockchain — not by us, not by a bank. You can verify the program yourself on Solscan.
  • Fees. A 2% network fee is taken when you deposit, shown before you sign. Early withdrawal before the unlock date carries a 10% penalty. No subscriptions.
  • Only the guardian wallet can claim. Keep your wallet and its recovery phrase safe — if you lose it, we cannot recover the deposit for you. That is the trade-off of a system where we can't touch your money.
  • Crypto risk is real. SOL's value goes up and down; smart contracts can have bugs; blockchains can congest. Never seal more than you'd be comfortable locking away.
  • Not financial advice. Nothing here is investment, legal, or tax advice. A sealed capsule is a family ritual with an optional savings feature, not an investment product.

What we promise — and don't

We work to keep the service up, your data safe, and the stories wonderful. But the service is provided as is, without warranties. To the maximum extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the fees you've paid us. The free parts of the service may change as the Network grows; the on-chain rules of already-sealed capsules don't change — that's the point of them.

Fair use

Don't upload content that isn't yours, anything harmful, or anything that identifies a child beyond a first name. Don't abuse the service technically. We can decline or remove gallery content at our discretion.

Housekeeping

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. If we change the terms, we'll update the date above; material changes get announced to subscribers. Questions first, lawyers later: [email protected].
